Hope you don't mind my using "awesome" on this shot, as it really is. I don't use that word often so as not to lessen its impact....this is a super wonderful moment in time!! Sincerely. The composition is just perfect. I just had to vote for it, too. Kept you in second place at the time. As I spent the time to vote, would you PLEASE do the same for me? I'm in the National TV Photo contest and really need your votes. The Waterspill piece is leading my 3 but would appreciate a vote for all 3. thank you Andrew, in advance: voted for it; commented on it; and added you to my Watch List as I love what you do with a brush! Mind if I ask you to vote for my [more mundane] pieces on National TV Photo contest now? Hope you will. The three URLs below are pointing to three photographs that I have in an international photo contest. I would like to have your vote for each of them because if I can get 250 votes or more for each I will be entered in the final count for this contest. Should I go on to win, I could have my photograph appear on television and in magazines! Just copy each URL, one at a time, and connect to it in your URL line, usually at the top of your screen, and vote! Please! Please! Please! The contest ends midnight June 30th, 2013 so please don't delay. Maybe even ask your friends to do it for me too?? Just forward it for me. Thank you for appreciating my image David ! personally I will not ever make it to the finals as I don't solicit vote, but having said that a much better way for you to do so would be rather sending a message directly to who ever you wish would help you and then the links would be active instead of inactive links filling up space ideally meant for positive comments :)

Hi Andrew...I like your image. What a great opportunity and you have capitalized on it. Beautifully done...Cheers Bob

Such power wow would love to experience this!! v/f
Andrew Hewett replied:
Thanks Gray ! lucky for me I live up the road from the harbor, the really big waves happen once every 5-7 years for only a day, this Giant Wave was the only one of its size I've ever seen :)

Image being the keeper at this station and having to man a lifeboat, should that need arise! Wow! It would take nerves of steel. Beautiful capture of the mighty forces of the ocean.
Andrew Hewett replied:
Thanks for your comment Anne ! There is a gate that prohibits people from entering the jetty, lives have been lost and rescue missions successfully accomplished, Waves this size are extremely rare, I was extremely fortunate to capture this image :)
